Building Features

As we look ahead to the opening of our Private Beach coming up in Fall 2025, we are pleased to share the remaining few construction details are nearly finalized and the inspection process is currently underway and ongoing. Crews have completed installing tiles and cabinetry. A bicycle rack has been added, and security enhancements are now in place, with multiple cameras located across the property.

In support of local wildlife, the BBCA has incorporated features like the glass railing system on the second-floor and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC)-approved vinyl fencing to reduce light exposure and help protect nesting sea turtles. The FWC has specific requirements for beachfront lighting to protect sea turtles, particularly during nesting season.

Leather-finish granite countertops and a shading pergola, rated to withstand winds up to 170 mph, have been added to the barbecue areas. The liquid propane (LP) gas grills are pending installation and will be removable in the event of a hurricane, with cabinetry designed to allow for drainage.

On the first floor, lockers for resident use and motorized insect screens have been installed. On the second floor, tongue and groove ceiling installation is underway in the elevator lobby. The newly added transparent hurricane shutters mark another step towards storm resilience as the project approaches its final phase.
