D Building Construction Update – Week of June 16, 2025

Below is an update regarding the construction on the D Building:
Screen enclosures have been removed from all units.
Handrails have been removed from all units.
All elevated unit floors have been grinded.
Existing stucco has been removed on many of the column bases.
Slab edge repairs are under way.

The crew is seeing spalling/damage to columns in a majority of unit balconies. In some cases, it is severe and will require a large cross-section of the column to be repaired. This means that the GC will need to remove stucco and check all columns in the building so that all are documented and repaired appropriately.

The Engineers were on site to provide direction to the on-site team. They were able to view 4 of the 7 stacks. Crews should be able to wrap up slab repairs on 3 stacks this week. Columns will be the next area that will be worked on.
