Week 9 – B Building Construction Update

Week 9 of Construction – B Building:
Slab edge repairs are complete with the exception of 205 and 207. A crew will continue working on these exceptions. These two units required numerous, tedious slab repairs that are widespread throughout each lanai. Both units have taken longer than expected.
Stucco repairs are underway at various spots throughout the property.
2nd floor grab rails are underway as we speak and should be substantially complete by the end of the day. Grout will be placed in the core cavities soon.
Outlook for Next Week:
- Column work to begin next week.
- Shoring installation as needed pending Velocity’s shoring layout
We will likely have to remove the screen enclosure for unit 203 next week. Based on the condition of one of the columns at the unit above, we anticipate needing shoring on all floors to support the load columns while we service them. As previously mentioned, we will place plywood protection over the unit’s tile, however, there is still a chance that this tile could be cracked or damaged.
